Family Vacation in Washington, DC!

Hi Everyone! Hope that you all had a great week and weekend! We definitely did! We took our first family vacation of 2011 in Washington, DC! It was so much fun and we can't wait to tell you all about it! First, we had an excellent road trip down to DC from 'Jersey! We sang songs, colored, played games kept asking Mommy & Daddy if we were there yet...like a million times. When we finally got to DC, we were a little tired, but immediately wanted to check out the sites...so we got in our red stroller and cruised all around town. It was a little chilly, but we got to see the Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam Memorial, the WWII Memorial, the Washington Monument and even the White House! It was really, really awesome! And after such a busy day, we were happy to hang out at our cool hotel and play with the giant goldfish in the lobby. There was even a super cool waterfall too. By the end of the night, we were happy to crash in our super comfy bed with tons of pillows. But OF COURSE, Maddy was up to no good and would not let me go to sleep. So she was banished to the crib. Ha ha ha! Anyway, we got up early everyday so that we could see as much stuff as possible...Mommy and Daddy took us everywhere (as you'll see in the pics below)...like the Zoo, the Air & Space Museum (so many planes and rocket ships), the Natural History Museum (with tons of Dinos!), the American History Museum (trains, of course), a carousel ride in the park, nice restaurants and tons of other places too. We even got to eat ice cream twice in one day...now that is a vacation. Anyway, hope you enjoy our pics...we had a blast and just wanted to share with you! Love you all, Zack & Maddy!

Springtime Fun!

Well...almost Springtime! Zack and I had such a nice weekend! Zack had a birthday party on Saturday, so I got to hang our with my Daddy. We did all sorts of stuff together, and even watched one of my favorite shows...Chuggington!

Since the weather is getting nicer, we've been able to go to the playground a few times...and this weekend, Daddy took us to one of our favorite parks - Ralston Park in Mendham. Its a great park that even has a little wooden choo choo train that we can sit in and pretend to be conductors. There's a great big sandbox too - and we just love getting in there and getting sand all over ourselves! Tons of fun. We also had a great lunch at the Blackhorse Pub. The waitress was great - she sat us in a cool, cozy booth overlooking the goldfish pond and gave us crayons and paper to play with. After lunch, Mommy even gave us some coins to toss in the pond for our wishes...but silly Zack just ended up clonking the fishies in the head with his pennies. He's crazy and you have no idea about what I have to deal with as his little sister:-)

Anyway, we hope that you had a great weekend too...we have a special adventure planned this week - and we will be back with more pictures to share with you very soon. Big hugs! Maddy and Zack!

We're Back in Action!!!

Wow! It's certainly been quite a while since we wrote to you and let you know what was going on with us. Mommy has been really, really busy, and we totally understand! But Spring is around the corner and we want to get back on track with our little blog and keep you up to date on our adventures! So here's the latest on us!

Zack's Update: It's probably no surprise you to...but I still LOVE trains. I mean I REALLY REALLY REALLY love trains. And it's not just about Thomas anymore. I just found out about two new shows...one is Chuggington and the other is Dinosaur Train - that give me even more trains to love and ask Mommy and Daddy about! Just the other day we were at Costco and I spied a Chuggington DVD from across the store. Mommy was very impressed with my eagle eye-sight! The DVD was awesome and i had so much fun watching all 8 episodes! And Dino Train is awesome too - it combines my love of trains and big Dinos! How about some more fun details about me...I also getting to be a really big boy! I can pick out my own clothes, dress myself, brush my teeth and comb my hair - all by myself! I love mint chocolate chip ice cream and drawing pictures of dinos, trains and my family and baking (especially making pound cake with my Daddy). I also really LOVE playing with Mommy's Ipad! I know how to play with it and get to my apps all by myself!

Maddy's Update: Well, where do I start...hmmmm...well since we last talked, I was still kind of little a little girl...but time has flown by and now I am a big girl! I love to do so many things...like helping Mommy around the house and cleaning (so much that Mommy and Daddy got my my own broom, dustpan and vacuum!) I also love my monkey, Charlie (who I stole from my big brother Zack...ha ha ha) so much! I take him everywhere with me. I also love shoes...which should be no surprise, since I am a girl afterall! I especially like sparkly ones! I have also become quite the "artiste" and love to color with crayons...I even drew a lovely picture on the wall for everyone to enjoy! School is also a lot of fun for me, and I have a bunch of little friends that I love to play with - I think some of the boys have crushes on me...LOL! It must be my new cute ponytails (my hair is super long!)...And, you should also know that I am quite the talker...i know so many words and phrases, and can make sentences too...that's a big accomplishment!

So that's all for now...stay tuned as we're going to make sure that Mommy get's back on track with timely posts for you! Enjoy!

Love Zack & Maddy :-)

Merry Christmas

Hi Everyone! We are so happy to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We have had so much fun this month helping Daddy with Christmas lights and Mommy with her decorations - and our house looks so pretty! There are decorations everywhere! We even helped Daddy build a gingerbread house...even though we ate most of the candy decorations, it still turned out great!

We are also super excited to have our special Christmas Eve dinner with our whole family - and of course, excited to see what Santa is bringing us tonight! And of course, we've made sure to leave him a great big plate of cookies and a big glass of milk - and some treats for his reindeer! I have asked for trains and dinosaurs and Maddy is hoping to get some cute dollies and coloring books. We've been really good (at least most of the year)...so figures crossed that we get hooked up!

Merry Christmas to All and to All a Good Night!

Love,
Zack & Maddy

Class Picture!

Hi Everybody!

So not only did we get to take special class pictures at school this week, we also got to take pictures together...don't we look so cute? Next time, we'll have Mommy better cooridinate our outfits (argyle and plain? What was she thinking!) It doesn't matter though...our super duper cuteness and fresh haircuts really shine through!

LOL!
